Enter &#8220;gpedit.msc and click ok. The group policy editor is only available in the Pro version of Windows, so that is the reason why this tutorial will not work on the home edition.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ekiwi-blog.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/def_7.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"206\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-17055\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ekiwi-blog.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/def_7.png 400w, https:\/\/ekiwi-blog.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/def_7-300x155.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Now click on &#8220;All Settings&#8221; and look for the entry &#8220;Turn off real-time protection&#8221;. After that the real-time protection is disabled, as we can observe in the settings.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ekiwi-blog.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/def_9.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"350\" height=\"401\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-17059\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ekiwi-blog.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/def_9.png 350w, https:\/\/ekiwi-blog.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/def_9-262x300.png 262w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 350px) 100vw, 350px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The service will still be visible in the task manager, however CPU usage should remain at 0%. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ekiwi-blog.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/def_10.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"518\" height=\"145\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-17061\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ekiwi-blog.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/def_10.png 518w, https:\/\/ekiwi-blog.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/def_10-300x84.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 518px) 100vw, 518px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Of course you can activate the real time protection any time later. Just activate the tamper protection and reset the setting in the group policy editor to &#8220;Not configured&#8221; again.
