The menu item was grayed out.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/DYBdRFAq0lk\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The menu item &#8220;Install VMware Tools&#8230;&#8221; was not active after the installation.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ekiwi-blog.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/vmware_de_1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"296\" height=\"305\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-17632\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ekiwi-blog.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/vmware_de_1.jpg 296w, https:\/\/ekiwi-blog.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/vmware_de_1-291x300.jpg 291w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 296px) 100vw, 296px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The solution in that case is to shut down the virtual machine and then edit the settings. Here we find the floppy drive.
