However, you can easily set this up by clicking on the relevant virtual machine in the left tree structure of VMware and <strong>right-clicking on &#8220;<em>Settings<\/em>&#8220;<\/strong>. Under the <strong>tab &#8220;<em>Options<\/em>&#8220;<\/strong> you then select the <strong>entry &#8220;<em>Shared Folders<\/em>&#8220;<\/strong>. If one looks with the Files-Explorer into the HOME directory, the &#8220;Shared Folders&#8221; are <a title=\"Fix error ResampleDmo.dll was not found\" href=\"https:\/\/ekiwi-blog.de\/en\/26692\/fix-error-resampledmo-dll-was-not-found\/\">not to be found<\/a> under Linux.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Directory_path\"><\/span>Directory path<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>All &#8220;<em>Shared Folders<\/em>&#8221; can be found by default under Linux under the following directory path:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\/mnt\/hgfs\/<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Der <em>mnt<\/em>-Ordner ist ein spezielles Verzeichnis unter Linux. Dieses steht abgek\u00fcrzt f\u00fcr &#8220;<em>mount<\/em>&#8221; und wird daf\u00fcr verwendet andere Dateisysteme, von z.B. CD-, USB-Laufwerken oder aber auch die Dateisysteme eines Host-Systems in virtuellen Umgebungen einzubinden.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>mnt<\/em> folder is a special directory under Linux. It stands for &#8220;<em>mount<\/em>&#8221; and is used to mount other file systems, e.g. CD drives, <a title=\"Harddisk or USB drive not shown in Windows Explorer\" href=\"https:\/\/ekiwi-blog.de\/en\/16079\/harddisk-or-usb-drive-not-shown-in-windows-explorer\/\">USB drives<\/a> or the file systems of a host system in virtual environments.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Access_with_Files_Explorer\"><\/span>Access with Files Explorer<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>If you use the graphical user interface in Linux, you can navigate there via the Files Explorer. To do this, click on <em><strong>Other Locations<\/strong><\/em> and select <em><strong>Computer<\/strong><\/em>.
