Unfortunately not, error when starting Steam.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Evening, work done, I wanted to play a quick round of TFC. So I opened Steam, but alas. Instead of the service working normally, I only got an error message:<\/p>\n<pre>---------------------------\r\nSteam - Fatal Error\r\n---------------------------\r\nFailed to load steamui.dll\r\n---------------------------\r\nOK\r\n---------------------------\r\n<\/pre>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-49731\" src=\"https:\/\/ekiwi-blog.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/steam_1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"224\" height=\"152\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Tried again, no improvement. To do this, we open <a href=\"https:\/\/ekiwi-blog.de\/en\/49023\/start-background-process-in-the-task-manager\/\" title=\"&#8220;Start&#8221; background process in the task manager?\">the task manager<\/a>, go to the details and look for Steam. Basically, it is the extended version of above, as we also terminate all running processes here.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Reinstall_Steam\"><\/span>Reinstall Steam<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If that doesn&#8217;t help either, <a href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">we reinstall Steam<\/a>. Ideally, we should reboot before and, if necessary, after. Afterwards, Steam ran again without any problems.
