Despite 100% volume, the sound through my headphones was too low. In a quiet office, it was no problem to hear the voices in the podcast on the train with background noise. A temporary remedy was a USB sound card. In addition to the USB <a title=\"Realtek sound card \u2013 no sound in Windows 10\" href=\"https:\/\/ekiwi-blog.de\/en\/49469\/realtek-sound-card-no-sound-in-windows-10\/\">sound card<\/a>, the whole thing can also be solved in software. The free software EqualizerAPO can help us here, as in our article on bass amplification.<\/p>\n<p>First we download the <a href=\"https:\/\/sourceforge.net\/projects\/equalizerapo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">software from the project page<\/a>. Then we install it.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8071\" src=\"https:\/\/ekiwi-blog.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/sound_2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"252\" height=\"152\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a title=\"openSuse does not boot after installation\" href=\"https:\/\/ekiwi-blog.de\/en\/16982\/opensuse-does-not-boot-after-installation\/\">After the installation<\/a>, we find the software in the Start menu, but there as &#8220;Configuration Editor.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8072\" src=\"https:\/\/ekiwi-blog.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/sound_3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"327\" height=\"160\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ekiwi-blog.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/sound_3.png 327w, https:\/\/ekiwi-blog.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/sound_3-300x147.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 327px) 100vw, 327px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>When we first <a title=\"\u201cStart\u201d background process in the task manager?\" href=\"https:\/\/ekiwi-blog.de\/en\/49023\/start-background-process-in-the-task-manager\/\">start the<\/a> software, we are greeted with a list of sound devices, here we select the playback device or devices we want to configure. The changes take effect immediately, i.e. if you have headphones with music on, you should make <a href=\"https:\/\/ekiwi.de\/en\/index.php\/4793\/visual-studio-referenced-component-could-not-be-found\/\">the changes carefully so as not<\/a> to blow your ears off.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\"
