At the end we are given the option to download the configuration file. First we install WireGuard:<\/p>\n<pre>\r\nsudo apt install wireguard resolvconf\r\n<\/pre>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Make_a_wireguard_connection\"><\/span>Make a wireguard connection<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>We can copy the configuration file to the &#8220;\/etc\/wireguard\/&#8221; folder, but any other location will do. We establish the connection with the following command.<\/p>\n<pre>\r\nsudo wg-quick up \/etc\/wireguard\/wg0-client-01.conf\r\n<\/pre>\n<p>Here I had another specific error message:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\nwg-quick: The config file must be a valid interface name, followed by .conf\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ekiwi-blog.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/vpn_wire_linux_3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"729\" height=\"216\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-58826\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ekiwi-blog.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/vpn_wire_linux_3.png 729w, https:\/\/ekiwi-blog.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/vpn_wire_linux_3-300x89.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 729px) 100vw, 729px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The message is a bit misleading. My problem was that the file name, without .conf, was longer than 16 characters. The .deb file is available <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/UnnoTed\/wireguird\/releases\/tag\/v1.0.0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here for download<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Here we can import the configuration file and then connect at the click of a button.
