It is therefore generally recommended to shut down the computer normally, without hibernation and quick start. The easiest way to do this is to &#8220;restart&#8221; the computer and then switch off the computer in the BIOS\/UEFI display.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, this is only possible if Windows still starts normally.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_error_message\"><\/span>The error message<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If this is no longer possible, RescueZilla aborts the process with error messages.<\/p>\n<pre>\r\nWindows is hibernated, refused to mount.\r\nRemount failed: Operation not permitted\r\n<\/pre>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ekiwi-blog.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/hiber_en_1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"666\" height=\"438\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-60520\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ekiwi-blog.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/hiber_en_1.jpg 666w, https:\/\/ekiwi-blog.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/hiber_en_1-300x197.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 666px) 100vw, 666px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Remove_hibernation\"><\/span>Remove hibernation<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>However, we have the possibility to remove the hibernation mode. To do this, we open a terminal in RescueZilla.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ekiwi-blog.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/hiber_en_2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"513\" height=\"195\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-60524\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ekiwi-blog.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/hiber_en_2.jpg 513w, https:\/\/ekiwi-blog.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/hiber_en_2-300x114.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 513px) 100vw, 513px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We now still need the information of the drive in question. We find this out in the third step of cloning. In our case it is the drive &#8220;\/dev\/sda&#8221; and partition 3.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ekiwi-blog.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/hiber_en_3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"907\" height=\"424\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-60528\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ekiwi-blog.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/hiber_en_3.jpg 907w, https:\/\/ekiwi-blog.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/hiber_en_3-300x140.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ekiwi-blog.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/hiber_en_3-768x359.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 907px) 100vw, 907px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In the terminal we can now display the data carriers in the system. Then we start the cloning again.
