For example, we received a request to configure the @ sign to an F key.<\/p>\n<p>Nothing could be simpler. First, we download <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autohotkey.com\/\">AutoHotkey<\/a> and install it. The software is open source and free of charge.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/pjBBSUPijFE?si=xt-nm1-yhmXDGOhp\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Then we create an .ahk file with a text editor of our choice and edit it. This will have the following content:<\/p>\n<pre>\r\nF8::Send, @\r\n<\/pre>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ekiwi-blog.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/at_ahk_1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"544\" height=\"355\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-64253\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ekiwi-blog.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/at_ahk_1.png 544w, https:\/\/ekiwi-blog.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/at_ahk_1-300x196.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 544px) 100vw, 544px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In this case, we reassign the F8 key. Ideally, we should use a key here that we no longer need in other programmes.<\/p>\n<p>Now we have to execute the script. We can do this by right-clicking. An icon will then appear in the taskbar to indicate that the script is active.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ekiwi-blog.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/at_ahk_2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"559\" height=\"119\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-64257\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ekiwi-blog.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/at_ahk_2.png 559w, https:\/\/ekiwi-blog.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/at_ahk_2-300x64.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 559px) 100vw, 559px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We can compile the script, then it becomes an .exe file.
