If you try to format a large USB thumb drive with FAT32 you can not use the Windows default format dialog. It just does not offer the option to select FAT32. There is no real technical reason behind that, it was just a decision a Windows developer did a long time ago.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
If you need your USB drive formatted with FAT32 you can use the free software Rufus<\/a>. In Rufus you select your USB device, select “Non bootable” for Boot selection and hit the start button.
