Today I received a complaint that I hadn&#8217;t replied after 10 days. Checked, comment is there.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ekiwi-blog.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/comment_1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"684\" height=\"248\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-66216\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ekiwi-blog.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/comment_1.png 684w, https:\/\/ekiwi-blog.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/comment_1-300x109.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 684px) 100vw, 684px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>But only when I was on it with my YouTube account. With my private account, my own comment was not displayed. A few attempts to explain.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"YouTube_comments_with_links\"><\/span>YouTube comments with links<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>I&#8217;ve already realised that YouTube doesn&#8217;t like comments with links. If viewers post something with a link, it is usually filtered out directly and I don&#8217;t see it. I also can&#8217;t activate it manually. It&#8217;s annoying because even useful feedback is not allowed here.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Links_and_own_comments\"><\/span>Links and own comments<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>My assumption so far has been that my own comments on my own video are not subject to such restrictions. I usually link to blog articles, which then answer the question.<\/p>\n<p>However, this does not seem to be the case and these comments are also filtered.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Shadow_ban\"><\/span>Shadow ban<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The perfidious thing is that I can&#8217;t see whether the comment is visible to others or not. I can see it myself. All that remains is to check with another account to see if it worked.<\/p>\n<h2>Why was the comment blocked?<\/p>\n<p>I have checked various videos and comments, links are allowed. My guess is that the comment was too generic. &#8220;Look here&#8221; was probably too &#8220;spammy&#8221;, as spambots also make comments like this.<\/p>\n<h2>What remains?<\/h2>\n<p>I will continue to monitor this and check whether comments are displayed in future.
