What makes this solution special is that, unlike many older tools, it does not require root access.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, the app uses standard Android interfaces to transmit the screen content to any VNC client (such as TigerVNC or UltraVNC) on the computer. At the same time, mouse and keyboard inputs from the PC are executed directly on the Android device. <\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Installation_on_your_smartphone\"><\/span>Installation on your smartphone<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The app can be installed via the App Store or, alternatively, via F-Droid.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details\/droidVNC_NG?id=net.christianbeier.droidvnc_ng&#038;hl=de\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">droidVNC-NG (Google Play Store)<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/f-droid.org\/de\/packages\/net.christianbeier.droidvnc_ng\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">droidVNC-NG (F-Droid)<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Start_and_configuration\"><\/span>Start and configuration<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Once launched, we can manage settings such as the password or whether remote control should be enabled. Provided the control function is active, we can remotely control the smartphone using the mouse and keyboard, and type longer texts.
