Unfortunately we can’t log you in, authorisation code or refresh token has expired. What can you do?
Problem logging in to Microsoft Teams:
Sorry, we cannot register you. AADSTS70008: The provided authorisation code or refresh token has expired due to inactivity. Send a new interactive authorization request for this user and resource.

The solution
Clear cache, reinstall Teams or reset? Tried everything – nothing works. Instead, the following helps:
- Delete these folders:
- %LocalAppData%\Packages\MSTeams_8wekyb3d8bbwe
- %LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.AAD.BrokerPlugin_cw5n1h2txyewy
- %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\OneAuth
- %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\TokenBroker
- %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\IdentityCache
- If the folder %LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.AAD.BrokerPlugin_cw5n1h2txyewy cannot be deleted:
- Go into the folder and delete all subfolders
- If the “AC” folder cannot be deleted, then at least remove the subfolders or system files in it.

- Restart the PC and log in to Teams again.
You may need to uninstall and reinstall Teams again, then restart and try again.
