Hyper-V: Set up local network between host and guest

Network connection between host and guest with Hyper-V.

For data exchange and remote debugging: Network connection between host and guest. In the first step, we open the manager for virtual switches.

Here we create a new switch and select “Internal network”.

We now select this switch in the virtual machine settings.

We then find the new connection in the network connections.

We assign an IP address for the host and repeat this for the guest. There should only be one network card here.

Both computers should then be able to connect to each other. If things like the ping do not work, this must be activated in the firewall settings. Alternatively, the firewall can also be deactivated, whereby you must check which profile is currently active.
