Use standard USB-C cables for HUION Kamvas tablets?
My Kamvas tablet came with the normal connection cable, with two USB-A and HDMI. On the desktop, the cable works quite well, on the laptop it is rather cumbersome and hogs two USB ports and the HDMI port.
USB-C can be used as an alternative. On the laptop, the tablet can thus be used with one cable, for control, power and display. There is only one problem: normal USB-C cables are too thick at the connector. The manufacturer has built the USB ports into the housing quite deeply, normal USB cables are too thick at the plug and cannot be plugged in.
Appropriately, the manufacturer itself offers a matching USB-C cable, for a comparatively large amount of money. Whoever thinks that’s a bad thing!

Do normal USB-C cables work?
The good news is that normal USB-C cables basically work. The important thing is that they are suitable for transmitting display signals. Cheap cables may not do this, USB-A to USB-C is also ruled out.
I still had a USB cable lying around from my USB-C monitor. Only the plug was too thick, since the sheathing was made of plastic, I was able to taper the plug a bit so that it fit. And lo and behold, the tablet worked immediately and could be operated with a cable.
In short, the expensive cable is not absolutely necessary.
