Review: Anker Soundcore Bluetooth Lautsprecher

Small roaring cube in the test.

After a long time, I wanted to have a small Bluetooth roar cube again. Simply to have a bit more sound in the kitchen, bathroom or on the balcony than the smartphone’s internal speakers provide. I was looking for something compact, I don’t want to play sound at parties. I ended up with the Anker Soundcore for 24 euros (with discount voucher).

Hardware and workmanship

The loudspeaker comes in small packaging. In addition to the speaker, a small manual and the charging cable are included. The charging cable is micro USB. I would have preferred USB-C. The speaker is well made and is also stable and non-slip on the table or other surfaces.

I opted for the black version, other colours are also available. Music or sound can be fed in via Bluetooth, jack or SD card.

Sound, Bluetooth, battery life

Switch on, pair and the speaker is ready for use. With the integrated microphone, it also functions as a hands-free speakerphone. The sound is good and the bass is not bad for the size. When switched on again, the speaker is quickly ready for use. The battery life of up to 15 hours is reasonably long.

Playback can be controlled via buttons on the side.

Conclusion

I am satisfied with the device. It is small, compact and provides sufficient sound for the home. The only drawback is the outdated micro USB port. I would have preferred USB-C here, as I would simply need one less type of cable.
