Number of processors greyed out in VirtualBox.
Today I wanted to try something out in a virtual machine. In the settings I was perplexed. Only one processor was set here and the setting was also greyed out and could not be changed.
The solution was to activate the virtualization function in the UEFI/BIOS. Apparently I had deactivated it when I rebuilt the computer and loaded the default values.
On my AMD processor, the function is called “SVM Mode”. In other systems, just look for VT, Enable Virtualization, something like that.
After the restart, everything worked as before and the setting was possible again.
